From the deepest valleys of my heart, I honour and pay my respects to the memory of the Stoney Creek Nation - the Tyerenoterpanner, Leetermaireener and Panninher clans.
To our fantastic Poatina community and those of you who are visiting this place, I thank you for your sensitivity and respect of Aboriginal land and the acknowledgement that reaffirms this country was indeed a land of many people.

Poatina Arts Inc is a Collective of artists, initiatives and enterprises, events and programs, studios and other facilities located in the picturesque village of Poatina, Tasmania. The Alethea Mountain Retreat Arts Centre is an integral part of the inspiring framework that is home to resident artists and home away from home to visiting artists from Tasmania, interstate and overseas.

Nestled on the edge of the majestic World Heritage listed Great Western Tiers, Poatina has been a hub of Hydro ingenuity, a centre for vibrant youth work and a home away from home for artists, interest groups and travellers. Known for its hospitality, Poatina aspires to be a community of hope, bringing life through a vibrant culture and inspiring practical spirituality.
